The Kaskaskia College Concert and Jazz Bands will present their final concert of the 2014-2015 season on Tuesday at 7:30 PM in the Jane Knight Auditorium.  The performance will feature the Kaskaskia College Concert and Jazz Bands under the direction of Professor Cliff Jourdan.  Concert Band Highlights include:  “Raider’s March” by John Williams and “Symphonic Suite from Star Trek” by arranged by Jay Bocook and Cliff Jourdan.  In addition, the concert band will perform musical excerpts from some of Hollywood’s biggest movies synchronized to video of your favorite scenes from the films including Gone With The Wind, The Wizard of Oz, E.T., Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Les Miserables and Star Wars.   Jazz Band Highlights include:  “Beauty and the Beast” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” arranged by Gordon Goodwin; Cole Porter’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”; “The Way You Look Tonight” arranged by Sammy Nestico; and “A Salute to Glenn Miller II” featuring “A String of Pearls”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “American Patrol”.  Also, clarinet soloist Steve Marr will perform Benny Goodman’s “Clarinet A La King”.  The concert is free and open to the public with a reception immediately following the concert.
