The 55^th Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant was held at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, where almost 4,000 county fair members and friends spent the weekend selecting their entertainment and service needs for the 2014 county fair season.  Summer Robbins, Miss Montgomery County Fair, was crowned the 2014 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Sunday night.  Illinois Agriculture Director Bob Flider and retiring Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Amelia Martens did the crowning, which culminated the annual convention of the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs.  This year a record 72 county fair queens vied for the coveted title.  The fourth runner-up was Miss Okawville Fair Alexis Lintker, the daughter of Carl and Lisa Lintker of Venedy.  The 103 county fairs culminate with the Illinois State Fair, August 7^th through the 17^th and the DuQuoin State Fair, August 22^nd through September 1^st.
