Due to a problem with a transmission line feeding into Tri-County Electric Cooperative lines, many areas were out of power for just less than an hour this morning, but those on the Irvington substation were out longer. According to TCEC, there were 2,017 customers affected that got power from substations in Hoyleton, Dix and Irvington at about 8:50 AM. The bulk of the customers without power were 514 in the Centralia area, 390 in the Dix area, 359 in the Walnut Hill area, 220 in the Covington area, 171 in the Hoyleton area, 115 in Mount Vernon, 110 in the Richview area and 62 in the Nashville area, with other areas with fewer customers without power. Crews got the Irvington substation back on line at approximately 11 AM.
