The Nashville City Council met last night and received a summary of the Illinois Public Library Annual Report for the Nashville Public Library for the past Fiscal Year, which ended on April 30th.  Library Committeeman Dennis Kellerman went through and touched upon some highlights from the past year.  The total operating receipts were $113,261, while the total operating expenditures were $111,774.  The total number of visits to the library was 28,262.  There were 124 programs in the year with 2,662 people attending them.  The Nashville Public Library has 21,615 print materials of all kinds, 528 audio recordings and 232 video recordings.  Last year, they loaned out a total of 20,868 materials with 12,574 being adult materials and 8,294 being children’s materials.  Through the shared library network, where people can request materials from another library, there were 4,486 materials borrowed and Nashville sent out 1,342 materials, so people have the ability to get more than is offered at Nashville brought to them.  Kellerman reported that it was a good and busy year for the Nashville Library.
