The Washington County Sheriff’s Department was busy this past week. Last Monday, they arrested 44-year old Lance Conner of Irvington, as they responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Irvington. Conner was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. One week ago, they went to Ashley for a report of suspicious activity there, also took a report of theft that had occurred at a residence in Ashley, assisted the Nashville Police Department with a warrant arrest and took a report of theft in rural Oakdale. Last Wednesday, they arrested 35-year old Jamie A. Peters of Richview on a Clinton County warrant, arrested 56-year old Danny L. Briner of Trelor, Missouri on a Washington County warrant, arrested 52-year old David Martin of East Saint Louis on a Washington County warrant and responded to a call of domestic trouble in Irvington. On Thursday, deputies returned a phone call to an Oakdale resident about some suspicious activity there, responded to a residence in New Minden for a domestic disturbance, assisted the NPD with a theft investigation and took a report of battery that had occurred at the Hoyleton Children’s Home. On Friday, they returned a phone call to a resident of rural Okawville about a civil matter, took a report of phone harassment from a resident of rural Richview, took a report of a lost item found at a business in New Minden, initiated a traffic stop and arrested 52-year old Kenny E. Reaney of Centralia for DUI, Driving While Revoked and Unlawful Display of a Temporary Registration Permit. He was also cited for Improper Lane Usage, No Valid Registration and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. They also assisted the NPD with a fight in progress and took a report of shots fired in Irvington, but it was determined to be a transformer that blew out. On Saturday, the WCSD responded to Richview for a report of suspicious activity at the park, took a report of property damage from a resident of rural Nashville, responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the Hoyleton area, as well as one on Route 127.
