Besides responded to 3 accidents and assisting 1 motorist in the past week, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of theft occurring in rural Nashville and responded to a theft in Hoyleton, both on Thursday. On Friday, they arrested 23-year old Brian L. Johnsey of Oakdale on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear. On Saturday, deputies assisted with a property exchange at a residence in rural Hoyleton. The WCSD was busy on Sunday, as they initiated a traffic stop and arrested 23-year old Tyler S. Womack of New Athens for Failure to Yield or Reduce Speed Upon Approaching an Emergency Vehicle, DUI, Improper Lane Usage, Disobeying a Police Officer, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer and Aggravated Assault. They also responded to a domestic disturbance in Irvington, went to another residence in Irvington about a civil matter, responded to a verbal domestic dispute in rural Okawville and took a complaint of noise in Ashley.
