The Illinois State Police announce results of Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement Surveillance details from various establishments during the evening hours of Friday, January 31, 2014, in Saint Clair County. The purpose of these ACE details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors. A total of 30 locations were surveyed in Fairview Heights, O’Fallon, Caseyville, Belleville and Lebanon. Of those businesses, BP Amoco in Fairview Heights was involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor. Store employee Justin Leingang was arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor, a Class A misdemeanor and was released on a notice to appear in court. The ISP commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors.
