The Okawville Village Board met Monday night and Village Clerk Wayland Jasper reported that there wasn’t much discussed.  They approved the Tax Levy Ordinance in the amount of $98,175, which is approximately 3 percent more than they asked for last year.  The Board approved of work to be done by Haier Plumbing for no more than $13,600 for work to facilitate drainage at the Original Springs Hotel.  They also approved of replacing the remaining street signs for no more than $7,672.23 by Newman Signs.  Early last year they purchased 62 street signs and brackets to put up in Okawville, as the blue and orange signs in town are in violation of law and will be replaced by the green signs.  The Board then approved to purchase 2 solar powered blinking crosswalk signs for no more than $6,175.  This will be for the intersection of South Front Street and Memorial Drive.  The next meeting is on Monday, December 28th
