It’s a big holiday weekend in Okawville with the 32nd Annual “Country Christmas Stroll & House Tours,” sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Heritage House Museum Association. House tours are on Saturday from noon to 5 PM and on Sunday from noon to 4 PM, but other activities begin earlier on Saturday at 9 AM and at 11 AM on Sunday.  There are 4 different homes from last year and that includes those of Kyle & Kim Martens, Ed & Julie Hensler, Tom & Connie Gray and Charles & Donna Davis, as well as at Immanuel Lutheran Church, which features special music on Saturday at 2 and 4 PM.  The shops will also be open in town as well.  On Saturday, there is a breakfast with Santa at the Original Springs Hotel, as children eat free, compliments of the Lions Club, but reservations are required at 618-243-5694, just leave a message.  There is also a craft fair and the “Festival of Trees” will be in the Community Club building with over 20 trees on display with the decorating theme of “movies”.  There will be a flea market and vendor fair in the Immanuel School gym.  On Saturday, the Rainbow Ranch Petting Zoo will feature “Christmas in the Barn,” as animals from the very 1st Christmas will be featured.  They will also have a petting zoo at the Community Center on Sunday.  For more information, call 243-5694.
