The Nashville City Council met last night and they heard from Rosalie Boreup of the Washington County Historical Society on the progress on the old depot being restored.  She said Gary Ferris has been doing most of the work with help from various folks to clean it up, renovate it and get it open for the public.  She said they cleaned it up and got rid of the grime of the years of not being used.  They had to redo the entire outside, have put in some utilities, insulation and made many repairs, but they are nearly three-quarters of the way done.  A working bathroom and windows have been installed and eventually a fence will go up around most of the building.  Painting will be done as permitted and Boreup talked about the history of that, as it will be as close to the original look as possible with light green and off white colors on the outside with an accent of brick red.  Then the interior will be a neutral color.  Lights are planned for the outside with a patio for people to use.  They hope to have all done by late summer or early fall.
