The Washington County Sheriff’s Department assisted some motorists and responded to a couple of accidents, but they also responded to a residence in Hoyleton for a report of trespassing on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they checked on suspicious activity on the 300 block of Huron Street in Irvington. On New Year’s Day, deputies responded to a report of debris on Route 15, east of Beaucoup and went to a residence in Clarmin for report of suspicious activity. On Saturday, they responded to rural Okawville for a report of suspicious activity, arrested 35-year old Donald E. Wilmot of Richview for a Clinton County warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic citation, and responded to County Highway 21 for a report of a person wearing dark clothes while riding a bicycle. They located the person on CH 21 riding into Oakdale, where he was identified as 21-year old John W. Wiggers of Nashville, and then they arrested him for a Washington County warrant. On Sunday, they took a report of battery from an employee of the Children’s Home in Hoyleton.
