The Okawville FFA placed at the Ag Communications Career Development Event.  On December 9^th the Okawville FFA Chapter competed in the Section 22 Ag Communication CDE at Waterloo High School.  Ag Communications starts with a team of four.  Team members take a test covering communications, journalism, and editing.  They also completed an editing exercise to identify and correct mistakes in a news article.  Members also attended a press conference where they had a chance to hear a presentation and ask any questions they may need to develop their graphic design, news stories, and broadcast.  Allyson Lintker competed in Graphic Design and placed third.  This consisted of developing a web page, advertisement, or logo for the company or person interviewed.  Two members competed in Writing, which is developing a story about the interview.  Hannah Liske placed 7^th and Kevin Koch placed 10^th respectively.  In Broadcasting, Lauren Heckert placed third.  This consisted of creating an advertisement or press release based off the interview and recording it.  The Marissa FFA won the competition and was Okawville in 5^th.  Upcoming events for the Okawville FFA Chapter include Parliamentary Procedure CDE, Public Speaking CDE, and continuing construction on the Greenhouse.
