As reported in the past few weeks in the Nashville Police reports, there has been vandalism and property damage at Memorial Park in Nashville. At Monday night’s Board meeting, President Steve Fletcher addressed the issue with the Board and they are not going to tolerate any more vandalism. The crow’s nest and equipment areas at each ball diamond were broken into, extensively damaging the doors. The bathrooms across the creek were also broken into, again damaging the doors. Also, nearly all, if not all, lightbulbs were broken in every pavilion, as well as many of the light fixtures were damaged. The investigation into this vandalism is ongoing he said and they are taking a hard line on it, as they will not tolerate vandalism or any damage at the park, so from now on, they will prosecute to the full extent of the law. If you have any information on these acts of vandalism, contact the Nashville Police Department at 327-8232.
