The number of animals that need homes that are at the Washington County Animal Shelter has remained the same in the past week, but there has been some change in the animals there.  2 dogs found homes and 2 new dogs were brought in, that being a Staffordshire Terrier and a pit mix, so the number of dogs is still at 8.  Last week there were 2 cats and 1 kitten available, but now there are 3 cats available meaning there are still 11 animals at the shelter that need homes.  Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an A.V.I.D. Identification Chip.  In addition, new owners will receive a certificate for $50 off spaying or neutering.  Pictures are available online at www.petfinder.com and type in 62263 at the first space in the upper left.  The shelter also is a place to drop off aluminum cans for recycling.  They then use the money from this to help pay for expenses of housing the cats and dogs.  It is located at 17,990 Richview Road in Nashville.  For more information, call 327-9471.
