The Nashville Police Department handled several accidents last week. Last Thursday, Nashville Police handled a report of a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Nascote Industries where a vehicle driven by Tiana Montgomery of Murphysboro backed into a vehicle driven by Gary Hoffman of DuQuoin. On Friday, Nashville Police were on hand for a motorcycle accident in the 800 block of East Adams in which Levi Cummins of Nashville damaged his Harley Davidson motorcycle. No injuries were reported. Nashville officers also provided assistance to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with a single vehicle rollover accident on Connecticut Road near the intersection of Lebanon Road on July 4. Additionally, Nashville officer assisted with accidents on Interstate 64 on July 6 and another on July 9. It was an eventful Independence Day holiday for Nashville Police, starting with a 911 hangup call in the 11,600 block of State Route 127. Officers also performed a welfare check in the 400 block of East Adams, looked into a noise complaint in the 100 block of West Maple for a noise complaint, and went to the 1500 block of South Mill for an alarm. Last Tuesday had Nashville officers looking into suspicious activity in the 200 block of East St. Louis. A disturbance on a Greyhound Bus had Nashville officers on scene at State Route 127 near Richview Road last Wednesday. The Nashville police took a report of a theft from Holzhauer Auto and Motorsports on Thursday. Also on Thursday, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on East Adams, took a report of a lost dog in the 1500 block of West St. Louis, and looked into a theft in the 100 block of East Angie. Nashville police heard of two domestic disturbances last Friday, one in the 300 block of West Chester and another in the 100 block of West Third Street. On Saturday, Nashville officers took a report of a theft of service in the 800 block of North Mill, assisted the Ministerial Alliance in the 11,700 block of State Route 127, looked into suspicious activity on State Route 127, and went to the 800 block of East Holzhauer in response to a report of juvenile problems.
