Two Indiana residents were injured in a motorcycle crash yesterday in Jefferson County. According to the Illinois State Police, 76-year-old William Hogan and 72-year-old Gladys Hogan, both of Kokomo, Indiana, were traveling north on Interstate 57 on a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle near milepost 103 in Jefferson County. The area is a construction zone, and the driver lost control of the motorcycle on uneven pavement and crashed into the guardrail. Both subjects were transported to Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon with what were described as major injuries. Willam Hogan was airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital.
