An expert from the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) will hold a free presentation to help electric and natural gas customers in Nashville cut their costs by potentially hundreds of dollars a year on Tuesday, November 15 at the Nashville Public Library. The presentation runs from 2 to 3 p.m. and will feature CUB Environmental Outreach Coordinator Scott Allen discussing:
*How to spot unnecessary charges on natural gas, electric and phone bills.
*Energy efficiency programs and rebates that can help people cut their utility bills.
*Utility rates, and making the right choices in the electric market.
*CUB services, including its toll-free Consumer Hotline, 1-800-669-5556.
CUB is Illinois’ leading nonprofit utility watchdog. Created by the Illinois Legislature, CUB opened its doors in 1984 to represent the interests of residential and small-business utility customers. Since then, it has saved consumers more than $20 billion by helping to block rate hikes and secure refunds.
