Morthland College will no longer have an athletic program. During the college’s, Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday night, they voted to no longer support athletic programs and turn the college into club only on sports. Over 50 athletes participate in athletic activities at the college and will be affected by this decision. The school is directly blaming this result on the state since they have had delays on government funding, which like other colleges and schools in Illinois, has had frustration and hardships. Since the recent developments at the school, three people, including their athletic director, have elected to resign.
