A man from Olmsted has been charged and arrested in connection to a shooting this past weekend in Carbondale. Officers report that 24-year-old Devante Taylor got out of a vehicle and started to shoot in the direction of several people who were standing outside of a home. He fled the scene in a vehicle and fled the area. Police in Carbondale were notified from another department that they found the description of the suspect and his vehicle in Williamson County. Tylor ended up being charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and for not having an Illinois FOID card. No injuries have been reported and he currently resides at the Jackson County Jail.
