1. The Illinois State Fair will be hosting two new competitions for visitors this year. The two popular game show events are “The Newlywed Game” and “Beat the DJ.” Online registrations are now available for residents to apply. The Illinois State Fair will be hosting their own version of the two poplar shows, with the opportunity to win free tickets to the evening grandstand concert. The Newlywed Game is where couples will face off against each other by answering a series of questions to see which couples knows each other better. Couples must be married in order to participate. The 2nd event will include “Beat the DJ.” This will be similar to the Beat Shazam show on Fox, where two people will battle to see who can name songs correctly the quickest, by testing the musical IQ against a local disc-jockey. In order to register, sign up at illinoisstatefair.info, with the forms available under the competition tab. Participants will be notified if they were selected to compete.
