The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 22 calls this past week. On Wednesday, February 28th, deputies arrested 46-year-old Eric Neal, of Taylorville, in regard to having an active Washington County warrant. On Thursday, march 1st, deputies received a report of a dead animal along State Route 177, near Bottom Prairie Road just west of Okawville. Also on Thursday, deputies arrested a Nashville resident in regard to a possible burglary. 32-year-old Kirstyn Sterns of Nashville was eventually arrested from that call for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. On Friday, deputies reported to rural Hoyleton, after a call came in of a theft. They also responded to Oakdale, after a resident reported a vehicle that was recklessly driving. On Saturday, deputies responded once again to Oakdale, where another call came in of a reckless driver. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also made an arrest on Saturday. They booked 43-year-old Rodney Mandrell of Benton, for driving while having a revoked license.
