The Nashville Police Department responded to 31 calls this past week in our area. On Monday, April 30th, officers responded to State Route 127, near Route 15, in regard to a minor traffic crash. The crash had no damage reported, but the drivers called it in for a police report. On Wednesday, May 2nd, threats were made to a resident along the 100 block of East Elm Street. On Thursday, May 3rd, a suspicious vehicle was called in along North Hoffman Street. Last Friday, the Nashville Police Department responded to the high school in town, along East Holzhauer Drive, after a possible sex offender was near the school. Once officers arrived, a man was taken into custody for unlawful loitering of a sex offender within a school zone. That arrest was 23-year-old Richard Campbell II from Thompsonville, Illinois. Also last Friday, a person drove off from the Casey’s General Store after failing to pay for gas. A theft also got reported on Saturday, May 5th, along the 100 block of East Nancy Lane.
