The Nashville Police Department responded to 28 calls this past week. On Monday, May 14th, officers located a semi-truck that was losing concreate, while traveling along I-64. The semi reportedly was hitting vehicles while it was traveling. Officers made contact with the driver and resolved the situation. Also last Monday, officers arrested a Nashville resident, for having possession of a stolen dealer plate. 42-year-old Michael Voelkel was arrested for possession of stolen property. There was also a report of a tree on fire near a residence along County Highway 27, with Nashville Police and the Nashville Fire Department responding. The Nashville Police Department investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Citgo gas station on Tuesday, with an arrest occurring. At around 152am on Tuesday, officers arrested 30-year-old Laura White of Sparta, who had a warrant out for her arrest in Alexander County. She was taken to custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. On Tuesday, May 15th, officers received information from Mt. Vernon about a subject who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Nashville Police used this information to find 23-year-old Davon McLorn, who was at his work. While officers were inside the building, it became known that he was outside running from police. After a short pursuit, he was eventually apprehended and placed under arrest. A hit-and-run accident was reported on Wednesday along South Mill Street, at East Student Drive. Two thefts were called in this past week, with one occurring on Friday along the 9600 block of Commerce Avenue and the other occurring on Sunday along the 400 block of South Prairie Street.
