A southern Illinois man, who was arrested after failing to register as a sex offender and disappeared last year after posting bail, has been officially arrested in Tennessee. Reports indicate that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 71-year-old Danny Amos Sr. on Friday. In a news release, it says that Amos had been previously convicted back in 2011 for possession of child pornography and child sexual assault, when he was sent to the Illinois State Prison. After he was released from prison, he was arrested once again in 2016 for failing to register as a sex offender. Once he posted bond and was released, he disappeared. Besides a felony for failing to register as a sex offender, he was also charged with fleeing the state and for violating Tennessee’s Sex Offender Notification Act.
