Authorities in Vandalia are warning residents about counterfeit currency that is being distributed in the area. According to reports, an unknown subject attempted to use counterfeit currency on Sunday night at the Denny’s restaurant in Vandalia. Police responded to the deceptive practice report from the restaurant and found out that the subject attempted to pay with the fake money. The suspect then fled from the scene after employees confronted the man. The man in question had already left the area when officers arrived to the scene.
