The Title I Schoolwide Plan was approved, which will allow more flexibility to the district schoolwide in those funds. Mrs. Bauza was approved to remain as the IMRF Authorized Agent at NCHS. There was a discussion on athletic admission prices for the upcoming sports season, which included a potential change in prices for season passes and on underclassmen events. That will be a topic of discussion next summer. The item that was tabled for next meeting was the possibility of having senior citizen prices for all NCHS sporting events. Under the superintendent’s report, it was announced that the energy contract that the district had with a company has expired as of June 1st. They are currently under Ameren on their power until they either stick with them or get a new account. There will be energy contracts that will be brought up at next month’s meeting. After the board met for closed session, they approved a new hire. They hired Evelyn Hankins as the Academic Enrichment Teacher. The board also accepted the resignation of Jessica Spenner as an assistant girls track coach and approved Jessica as a volunteer coach for the girls track team.
