Centralia Police are investigating an incident, where a 21-year-old man was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound on Wednesday. Officers responded to the 900 block of East Noleman Street, where there was a report of a male subject being shot at around 3pm on Wednesday, which eventually led to all available police arriving to the scene. Fire and EMS staff were directed to block off the street, while police were securing the scene. The suspects in this incident were no longer on the scene when officers arrived. According to police, the victim and a friend had just gone inside the home, where at least 6 shots were fired at the residence. One round apparently went through a wall and struck the victim in the right thigh. The victim had to then be transported to an area hospital, to help treat his non-life-threatening injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the incident, but the victim and his friend were being uncooperative with officers.
