MARION COUNTY — The Marion County Treasurer’s Office has announced the mailing of 2022 payable 2023 Real Estate Tax Bills.

The total number of bills is 34,301, with the total amount of Marion County Real Estate Taxes Billed is nearly $43 million up from last year’s amount of just over $40 million-plus, with more than $2 million in Railroad Taxes to be collected.

The due dates for the Marion County Real Estate Taxes are July 27, 2023, and September 27, 2023

Please, review your bill before making your payment and make sure you receive your bill especially if you bought or sold a property, settled an estate, transferred a property, and/or paid off a mortgage within the last year or pay bills for a relative.

The Treasurer’s Office is in Room 105 at the Marion County Courthouse and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday- Friday to receive in-person payments.

If making payments at the Marion County Courthouse, please be prepared for security screening and occasional limited parking.

Payment options include mailing in your payment, paying at most local banks and credit unions, or using the drop box on the west side of the courthouse.

If using online bill pay from your checking account, please include Property Index Number with your payment. ACH checking account payments (E-checks) or Credit / Debit card payments are made online at ilmarion.com.
