ST. LOUIS, Mo. — For the second time in less than two months, a former Marion County resident has been shot and killed in St. Louis.

Early Wednesday morning, 37-year-old Wade Featherstun, formerly of Salem, was reportedly pronounced dead after someone on a motorcycle drove by and shot him in the city’s Dutchtown neighborhood.

A 36-year-old woman with Featherstun was shot and injured in the incident but told authorities she didn’t know why they were shot

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, that shooting was one of five separate shootings overnight on July 4th that resulted in six other people being injured.

In the early morning hours of Memorial Day, 42-year-old Michael Kaminski [kaw-min-ski], formerly of Sandoval, was found shot near Laclede’s Landing in St. Louis. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Security footage showed two men walk up to Kaminski and shoot him twice before walking off.

Both cases remain under investigation.
