Area law enforcement agencies are on the hunt, after a weekend suspect allegedly was transporting methamphetamine. According to the Mt. Vernon Police Department, at around 6pm on Saturday, ISP put out an ISP-ERN alert, with intelligence information on a silver Ford F150, driven by a man who was later identified as Anthony Amundson of Iowa. He is suspected of transporting methamphetamine and a large amount of currency through Jefferson County. The suspected vehicle was traveling with Iowa license plates, with multiple residents calling in a suspicious vehicle in the area. At this time, no one has been arrested. It is believed at this time that the suspect and the suspects in this case hid the drugs and the money.
