There were 5 accidents that were called this past week. On Thursday, October 18th, officers responded to State Route 127, at East Park Lane, where 3 vehicles crashed. Once an investigation was conducted, it was announced that Cameron Parker of Nashville was distracted, and did not realize that Dylan Mann of Pinckneyville had his vehicle stopped. Parker collided with Mann, causing Mann to hit a Jeep Wrangler driven by Jared Stock of Oakdale. No injuries were reported. On Friday, a motor vehicle collision was reported along the 900 block of East St. Louis Street. Joy Bass of Nashville was stopped along East St. Louis Street, facing west, when she attempted to turn into Zapp’s Repair, when a vehicle driven by George Davis rear-ended into her. No injuries were reported. On Sunday, two accidents were reported. The 1st one was a single-vehicle accident, along County Highway 21, at the intersection of State Route 15. Lucas Turner of Ellis Grove failed to stop at the intersection and ended up striking a ditch. Lucas had to be transported to an area hospital. Also on Sunday, at around 10pm, officers responded to the Napa Truck parking lot. 20-year-old Kayla Bebout of Pinckneyville attempted to pull out onto Mockingbird Road, from a private driveway, which hit a vehicle driven by 58-year-old David Rothstein of Okawville, who was traveling east. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were drivable. On Monday, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to rural Nashville, in regard to a single-vehicle crash. 55-year-old Diane Zacheis of Oakdale reportedly was traveling east on Oakdale Blacktop Road, near Black Diamond Road, where she ended up striking a deer.
