The Mt. Vernon Police Department make several arrests over this past weekend, in regard to felony meth-related charges.  The arrests were made by proactive patrol officers, with these arrests not involved with a large scale investigation.  On Friday, 33-year-old Nicholas Parks, of Christopher was arrested and charged with a Class 3 felony for possession of under 15 grams of meth.  Also arrested on Friday was Skylar Beppler, of Ina, in regard to possession of less then 5 grams of meth.  Two people were arrested on Saturday, including 25-year-old Alexander Laur, of Mt. Vernon who was charged with a Class X felony for delivery of between 15 to 100 grams of meth.  He also was given bail at $100,000 from the arrest.  The other arrest was 29-year-old Jamie Roberts, of Mt. Vernon, who got booked for a Class 2 felony for delivery of less then 5 grams of meth, a Class 3 felony for possession of less then 5 grams of meth and a Class 4 felony for possession of a controlled substance.  24-year-old Ronald Mount of Mt. Vernon and 43-year-old James Randle of Nashville were both arrested this past Sunday, February 24th, for a class 3 felony for possession of under 5 grams of meth.  26-year-old Zayveance Harbor of Mt. Vernon was booked for possession of less then 5 grams of meth on Sunday and 28-year-old Zachery Stumbaugh of Springfield, Illinois was arrested for a meth-related felony on Monday.  Assistant Police Chief Robert Brands would like to thank all the Mt.
