A man from Beardstown has plead guilty in Marion County, to one of his 3 charges against him, stemming from a crash along US Route 51, that took the life of a man from Odin. 23-year-old Ryan Feezel was charged back in July 2016, in regard to a crash along US 51, north of Patoka, that claimed the life of Kevin Koenegstein. Feezel was then charged with a Class 2 felony for aggravated DUI, resulting in a crash with a death, a Class 2 felony for reckless homicide, and a Class 4 felony for aggravated DUI, resulting in a crash, involving bodily harm. Back on Thursday, Feezel plead guilty to a Class 3 felony of reckless homicide, in exchange to his Class 2 and Class 4 felony charges being dismissed. His sentencing hearing is set for July 25th, pending the completion of his pre-sentencing investigation. A Class 3 felony is punishable by between 2 to 5 years in prison, with a maximum probation period of 30 months. Feezel originally was only charged with improper lane usage, following the crash.
