
Leonard Ray Woods, age 71 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Leonard was born on June 28, 1953 in Centralia, the beloved son of Culver and Evelyn (Brown) Woods. In his journey through life, Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished daughters, Lindy Sue Woods and Rebecca Marie Woods. Leonard leaves behind a legacy appreciated by his surviving siblings, Elmer Woods and Darlene Lawson and her husband Mike.
He will be deeply missed by his three children, Matt Woods, Tim Woods and Christina Woods and her partner Harold. Leonard’s memory lives on in his eight grandchildren, Lindzie Hull and her husband Daniel, Izaiah Woods, Kyle Starr, Dayton Woods, Emma Woods, Rachel Foster and her partner Jared, Victoria Woods and Claudia Quick and her husband Dustin. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Bentley Hull, Maverick Hull, Braxtin Woods, Colson Quick, Astoria Woods, and Ripley Miller. Leonard will be fondly remembered by his three nephews, “Bully” Woods and two children, Rocky Lawson and his wife Haley and their four children, and Mike Lawson and his wife Lexi and their one child, as well as his niece, Judy Logan and her four children. A close family friend, Mike Sills, also mourns his passing.
In addition to his family, Leonard leaves behind a legacy of joy and warmth. He found great pleasure in his hobbies, including fishing, DIY projects, and gardening. Leonard’s infectious humor and outgoing personality endeared him to all who knew him.
