MT. VERNON, IL — The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance designated by the United States Congress and held on the first Thursday of May, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation”. The Prayer Breakfast Committee in Mt. Vernon would like to notify those in the public planning to attend their National Day of Prayer tomorrow (Thursday, 5/1) of a venue change.
