The Illinois House of Representatives took time Thursday afternoon to honor Norbert and Charlotte Zinck of Nashville, on their work with the United States Agency for International Development.  State Representative Charlie Meier sponsored House Resolution 923 which he read on the House floor and presented to the Zincks, who sat in the House gallery with their family members.  Meier said Norbert heard about USAID one morning on a farm show and in signed up for it.  Then in 1999, they began traveling the world representing Illinois and the United States in 3rd world countries to help feed the people.  USAID is the lead U.S. Government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential.
