Lulu Belle Towler, age 90 of Morris, IL formerly of Iuka, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Serenity Estates in Morris.

Lulu Belle was born on May 21, 1935, in Iuka, the daughter of George and Carrie (Eddings) Pitts.  She married Russell Wayne Towler in 1962 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2020.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie VanDuyne-Mueller and husband Kevin Mueller of Morris; grandsons, Jake VanDuyne and wife Kate and Cade Mueller both of Morris; great-granddaughter, Penelope VanDuyne; five nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Elsie Pitts; and brother, Virgil Pitts.

Lulu Belle worked as a Home Economics teacher for 35 years at the Minooka High School and they lived in Plainfield, IL for 30 years.  After retirement they made their home in Iuka.  She enjoyed attending auctions, watching the news, and spending time with her family.
