Precipitation was up in April in Washington County after being down for March. According to readings taken by the City of Nashville Water Plant, there were 8.05 inches of rain recorded, which is well above the 1.04 inches in March and much more than the 4.93 inches last April. In fact, that’s the most rain in a single month since nearly 10 inches of rain in September 2012. It brings the total rainfall amount to 12.21 inches for this year, compared to 17.09 at this time last year. The most rain came on April 4th with 3.21 inches. Temperatures reached 70 eleven times with a high of 78 degrees on April 11th, 21st and 25th. Temperatures still got cold, reaching 30 degrees as the low on April 15th, but in the 30s six times. Last year in April, the high was 81 and the low was 28 degrees. The average high temperature was 65.5 degrees with the average low temperature at 46.2 degrees for last month.
