The Nashville Chamber of Commerce held their monthly member meeting yesterday.  They heard that Moonlight Madness was a success and then talked about the next event, which is Santa Saturday on November 30^th.  Executive Officer Kerri Huge explains the day’s purpose is for businesses to have specials and sales, while it will herald the arrival of Santa and there will be a movie, so the parents can go shopping.  Santa will arrive at 12:30 PM and the matinee at the Nashville Theater will be at 2 o’clock.  There will also be a window decorating contest for each of the businesses.  For more information, call Kerri at 327-3700.  There was a presentation on the new Kaskaskia College Nashville Extension.  The plans for the building and the need for it were presented, as was a need to raise more funds.  As of this time they still need to raise $881,000, as $404,000 has been raised in a month.  They hope to have this all raised to begin construction in May 2014 and move in a year later. The next meeting of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce is Tuesday, December 10^th at 5:30 PM at the Eagle’s Nest in Addieville.
