The Nashville Chamber of Commerce held their monthly member meeting yesterday.  They heard that Moonlight Madness was a success and then talked about the next event, which is Santa Saturday on November 30th.  Executive Officer Kerri Huge explains the day’s purpose is for businesses to have specials and sales, while it will herald the arrival of Santa and there will be a movie, so the parents can go shopping.  Santa will arrive at 12:30 PM and the matinee at the Nashville Theater will be at 2 o’clock.  There will also be a window decorating contest for each of the businesses.  For more information, call Kerri at 327-3700.  There was a presentation on the new Kaskaskia College Nashville Extension.  The plans for the building and the need for it were presented, as was a need to raise more funds.  As of this time they still need to raise $881,000, as $404,000 has been raised in a month.  They hope to have this all raised to begin construction in May 2014 and move in a year later. The next meeting of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce is Tuesday, December 10th at 5:30 PM at the Eagle’s Nest in Addieville.
