Kaskaskia College is pleased to host its 12th annual “Enduring Freedom” Veterans Day Celebration today on KC’s main campus.  Kaskaskia College is proud to honor the service of those men and women who have given their time and energy in the service of our country.  The morning will feature a free pancake breakfast in the College’s Student Center from 7:15 to 9:30 AM for veterans and their guests.  A special program will be held in the Jane Knight Auditorium starting at 9:45 AM that is open to the students and the public, featuring the presentation of colors by the Beckemeyer American Legion Post #1227, and the performance of the military service songs by the Kaskaskia College Choir under the direction of Dr. Sarah Graham.  The morning will also feature a special panel discussion with three area World War II veterans, who will discuss their experiences while serving during that conflict.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the Veterans Tribute project, located on the College’s main campus which features the names and branches of service for more than 25,000 veterans.  The program is free and open to the public.
