The Annual Betty Wilkerson Memorial Student Competition was recently held at Kaskaskia College. The student cosmetology competition is held once a year and the students compete against other students at their own level. This competition consists of three categories: Total Fashion, Hair Design, and Makeup. Students can also opt to participate in nail design. In Level One, Sydney Brink of Nashville placed 3rd in Makeup. She also placed 3rd in Makeup in Level Three. Natalie Bergkoetter of Addieville placed 1st in Creative Nail Art. Meanwhile, Tiffany Pabst of Pinckneyville placed in 1st in Hair and 2nd in Makeup in Level Three competition and also was named to the Total Fashion team.
