The Kaskaskia College Music Department will host a collection of contemporary works highlighting unique music for chorus and percussion ensemble. The concert will be held Tuesday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kaskaskia College Jane Knight Auditorium. The concert will feature the Kaskaskia College Community Chorale, under the direction of Professor Lynda Marshall and the Kaskaskia College Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Suzie Bjork. The concert will feature a selection of choral and percussion music in varying styles. Pieces to be performed at the concert include “Alleluia”, composed by Paul Basler, “Three Nocturnes” composed by Dan Forrest, and a performance of Leroy Anderson’s “The Syncopated Clock” by the KC Percussion Ensemble, among others. Admission to the concert is free.
