A couple of shootings in Carbondale are under investigation. They occurred late on Sunday night and early on Monday morning. Officers responded to the 1st shooting, which was along the 1200 block of North Bridge Street, in regard to a report of shots fired at around 1135pm. They learned that a white vehicle was seen leaving the area and speeding, prior to officer’s arrival. A short time later, officers were contacted about a man who had been taken to an area hospital in Carbondale by a 3rd party, in regard to two gunshot wounds. The injuries were not life threatening, but the man was taken to a regional hospital for additional treatment. The 2nd shooting occurred at 1240am on Monday morning, where officers heard shots being fired near the area of the 400 block of North Robert A Stalls Avenue. After that incident, another man was sent to an area hospital for treatment with a single gunshot wound. His injures were also non-life threatening. There is currently no information on whether or not these incidents are connected. Investigations on both incidents are currently ongoing. No other information is being released at this time.
