Lawyers from former SIU President and current SIUE employee Randy Dunn, accusing that 2 current SIU leaders violated the separation agreement with Dunn. Earlier this week, Dunn was accused of failing to sign off on $499,000 in recruitment funding for the campus in Carbondale. There were apparently e-mails between top administrators, which showed Dunn declining to give final approval on the spending for recruitment for SIUC for over 2 months this past summer. That ended up setting back time-sensitive recruitment initiates for SIU. Attorneys from Dunn say that he cannot fully give his side of the story, due to the separation agreement that he signed back in July. Dunn did say that the trustee and associate chancellor quotes in the article posted in the Southern Illinoisan violated their mutual non-disparagement and confidentiality provisions in the separation agreement.
