The Nashville City Council met last night for a regular meeting.  The council approved a proclamation for Nashville School Choice Week, which has been done in the past.  There also was an approval for a policy on the new K-9 for the Police Department, from the Fraternal Order of Police.  The new K-9 and K-9 Officer are currently under training, with both of them expected to return to Nashville around the 3rd week of February.  The city is not being charged for the new K-9 or for the training.  Under the Streets Department, Mayor Eric Rolf approved a release of prior drainage easement and accepted a new drainage easement on the Antolin.  Rolf also wanted to thank all city employees in the streets department for their work on snow removal last weekend.  The city approved to create a handicap parking sign at the boat dock in town, since there was never a sign there.  The concreate pouring for a ramp adjacent to the spot will be poured sometime in March.  Under Safety, the city approved a purchase of a balloon safety light, which will be used for safety, the street department, water department for police officers.  The light was used before during work on Richview Road, which apparently was extremely helpful.  The cost of the light will be $2,826 and will come out of the safety grant.  The last bit of business that the city had was a donation of $250 towards the NCHS post prom.  The next city council meeting will be next month, on Thursday, February 3rd.
