Two accidents were reported this past weekend in our area.  On Saturday, March 9th, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident along County Highway 27, where 81-year-old Thomas Heidel, of Nashville, lost control of his vehicle and struck a culvert.  Heidel was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.  On Sunday, March 10th, another accident was reported in Nashville.  Anthony Davis of Pinckneyville lost his front left wheel and ended up striking a truck, which had a trailer, driven by Jimmy Porter of Murphysboro.  Porter’s vehicle then ran over the detached tire, causing damage to both his truck and his trailer.  A 3rd vehicle then ran over the debris on the roadway, causing a flat tire to Karen Kasban of Radom.  No injuries were reported from this accident.
