The City of Centralia will be having their city wide spring cleanup event on the week of Monday, April 1st. Participation is only limited to single-family residences, town homes, condominiums and apartments, that do not exceed 4 units per building. All items need to be placed on the curb by 6am on your assigned pickup day. Any items that are larger than 5 feet or weigh more than 50 pounds will not be accepted, however, anything smaller then those dimensions will be picked up. Items that will not be accepted include yard waste, including grass clippings, leaves, brush or tree material, house hold garbage that normally is put out for regular collection, large quantities of rock, concrete or construction materials, such as roofing materials, siding or lumber, tires, cans of paint, large automobile parts, such as an engine or transmission, and lastly not being accepted will be lawnmowers or small engines that still contain gas or oil. Please note that trash that is normally picked up during normal collection should not be mixed in with these special cleanup event items. Crews will not be sorting through material to find items that are accepted and not accepted. City officials ask that you place smaller items in a container, such as a box or a bag. All items must be at the curb by 6am on your normal garbage pickup day. Your route will only be covered one time, no exceptions.
