The Okawville Village Board met last night and City Clerk Wayland Jasper tells WNSV that it was a relatively short meeting, but they did accomplish some important business.  They are 6 plats designed and planned for out at the golf course in an area called Fairway Estates.  These were approved by the Board.  They also agreed to have a committee look at hiring someone or agency to appraise the property west of town where the old water tower once stood.  4 liquor licenses were approved by the Board for renewal.  That included Plum Creek Golf Course, LLC, American Legion Post #233, the Original Springs Hotel and Christ Brothers, Incorporated for the CBI grocery store.  Finally, Jasper says they approved a water line for Water Works Road to the start of Fairway Estates for no more than $8,500.  Anything over that amount will be the developer’s responsibility.
