The Irvington Grade School Board of Education met Monday night.  Superintendent Dave Schulte says they discussed the school calendar, as they will have school on March 3rd, originally off for Casimir Pulaski Day.  They will also use 2 Act of God days to make up what was missed and that means the last day of school is scheduled for May 30th.  Spring Break, which is Easter weekend, will not be altered at this time.  Graduation has not been set and a letter has been sent home with options for parents to select from on when graduation will work best for them.  He says they have tried to have it on the same day as Centralia High School, just earlier so families can attend both if needed.  Options include having it some night during the last week of May or on June 1st.  The bottom of the form should be sent back to school with the student.  There were repairs and other improvements made at the school, including gym storage items, fireproofing of certain areas and putting in new doors without glass.  These are all safety measures, which were part of the grant.  The Board also discussed in closed session the contract negotiations with the teachers, as the current contract will expire on the last day of August.   The Board also accepted the Superintendent’s evaluation.
