The Washington County Sheriff’s Office did not respond to any motorist assist calls and only 1 accident this past week, as it was mostly standard calls.  Calls included assisting the Okawville Police with a missing juvenile, who was located in Addieville, suspicious activity at an empty residence in Ashley and it was checked, trespassing, downed power lines in New Minden at the intersection of Routes 127 and 177, an unleashed dog that had killed another animal at a neighboring residence, a medical call in Addieville, a brush fire in Hoyleton, a theft of diesel fuel from the gas station in New Minden, suspicious activity in Richview, as well as a welfare check there and several mailboxes uprooted on County Highway 27 in Nashville.  There was an abandoned vehicle on Polk Road and the vehicle was towed.  29-year old Nathan McKinstry of Nashville was cited for improper parking on a roadway.  The accident occurred on Saturday on State Road 15 near Orchard Road.  25-year old Dylan Bowman of Enfield, Illinois lost control of his vehicle and then it overturned and stuck a utility pole.  He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon for injuries.  They also arrested 55-year old Tina Stanfa of Grants Pass, Oregon for Possession of Cannabis Less Than 2.5 Grams, as well as being cited for Failure to Signal When Required.
